Today I got a phone call from the Tom Baker Pharmacist, who was scheduling me to start my radiation and chemo. I thought my start date was going to be May 3rd, but they were able to get me in sooner and I will actually be starting on April 28th (happy birthday Andy! Your present is your wife is going to start chemo).
Now they're not sure if it's a good idea if I go on that backpacking trip after all because they're not sure how I'll handle the side effects of all the fun new drugs I get to take. And the side effects of radiation on the brainstem. I'm trying to stay optimistic that my treatment will be gentle and I'll still be able to go! It comes down to when my appointment on the Friday we head out will be.
On a lighter note, a study showed that those on chemo are at greater risk of Covid so the Alberta government decided I can have my second vaccine! I'll be getting it on May 6th.
Hi Chelsea! am your Mom's friend. All my good wishes and prayers with you. You shall definitely steer through all the treatment calmly and effectively. As am sure you are as strong as your Mom. And many happy returns of the day to Andy, that is definitely the best present as his wife has taken a step towards getting better👍👍❤
I will be praying for you. Love Grandma.
Well, prayers for gentle effects! Andy it
is a good gift, your wife will get better faster!
